Keeping the Fourth of July Fireworks Tradition Alive
For generations, the Clintonville Fourth of July fireworks have been a cherished community tradition, bringing neighbors together to celebrate Independence Day with all day activities including the Clintonville Cruisers Car Show, bike decorating contests, and of course, the fireworks. What many people don't realize is that this event is not funded by the City of Columbus. The fireworks are made possible entirely through the generosity of local businesses, community philanthropists, sponsors, and residents who believe in preserving this tradition for future generations.
Like many community events, the fireworks celebration was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and remained absent for several years. In 2025, thanks to an incredible community-wide fundraising effort, the fireworks returned for the first time in years.
That return was made possible by the support of local businesses and organizations that hosted fundraising events throughout the year, including Whit's Wednesdays and restaurant fundraiser nights at community favorites like Mozart's, Aladdin's, Dante's Pizza, and many others. Every donation, sponsorship, and fundraiser helped bring this beloved tradition back to Clintonville.
Today, our goal is not only to continue the fireworks each year, but to ensure they remain a part of our community for years to come. That can only happen with ongoing support from the businesses, sponsors, and residents who make it possible.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors, community partners, and supporters who have invested in this tradition. We encourage everyone to follow along for upcoming fundraising events and opportunities to contribute. Together, we can keep the Clintonville Fourth of July fireworks lighting up our skies for generations to come.
